About
I am a doctoral researcher in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno, working on neural network architectures for power electronic converter control implemented on FPGAs.
My work sits where digital hardware meets control: hardware-efficient floating-point arithmetic, activation functions approximated with Chebyshev polynomials, and deterministic FPGA–MCU communication links for real-time intelligent control. I also teach undergraduate labs in digital design, circuits, microprocessors, and power electronics.
Research interests
- FPGA implementation of recurrent neural network controllers
- Hardware-efficient activation functions and floating-point arithmetic
- Heterogeneous FPGA–MCU architectures for real-time control
- Power electronic converter and microgrid control
